Rider University’s Department of Athletics seeks an Administrative Specialist, who with little or no direction and using a broad level of skills and knowledge, provides advanced administrative support to assigned staff members. Individual is required to: operate independently in prioritizing own workload and that of others in determining how best to accomplish work objectives; be proactive in identifying, following through and resolving various issues; participate in special projects as required; and may delegate work to others.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
answering phones and greeting students, parents, and the general public;
running the ticket booth and working outside events as needed, primarily championships. This includes nights and weekends during the basketball and wrestling seasons (approx. 35 events per year); and
arranging and managing all travel arrangements for the Athletic Director and Associate Athletic Directors.
