SUMMARY
This position is responsible for assisting in the daily internal operations of the Athletic Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assists the Athletic Director in developing, coordinating, evaluating, and implementing all intercollegiate
   

athletic programs.

1. Develops and implements educational programs for intercollegiate athletes in coordination with other
   

University offices.

1. Assists the Athletic Director in developing, reviewing, and revising written policies and procedures.
   
   1. Handles the day-to-day business and financial operation of the entire department including travel, officials,
      

and budgets. Manages the athletic department scheduling requests and schedule management.

1. Responsible for game day operations, game manager, officials, and event management. Including student

   1. 
      

work, staff hiring, and assignments for related positions.
Provides coaches and staff with rules interpretation and education as needed, as well as onboarding for new
staff and coaches.

1. Responsible for compliance, oversees eligibility, and student-athlete release communication.
   
   1. Coordinator of all special events and alumni relations. Works with university event planning staff as
      

necessary.

1. Oversees fundraising efforts of athletic department and individual teams in coordination with the
   

advancement department.

1. Oversees the implementation and execution of all Name Image and Likeness (NIL) policies.
   
   1. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred. Three (3) to (5)
years’ previous experience in an intercollegiate athletic department is preferred. Travel may be required, evening
and weekend hours expected.
