The Assistant Athletic Director / Assistant Coach is a grant funded position (eligible for up to 2 years). This
individual will assist, coordinate, and organize activities and schedules related to athletic teams and facility usage.
They will work closely with the Athletic Director, Associate Athletic Directors, and Office Manager for managing
related systems and policies.
Essential Functions:
• Assist the Sr. Associate AD with general administrative duties with the department, including budgeting, special
projects, facility oversight, practice, and game scheduling.
• Assist the Sr. Associate AD with all aspects of site supervision and event management. Specific duties include
communication with visiting teams in advance of home contests, management of online and printed visitors guide,
game setup and game personnel management, welcoming opponents and officials, and supervision related to
crowd control and sportsmanship. This includes rental agreements and management of external groups/events
using university facilities.
• Assist the Associate AD for Compliance and Communication with home event statistics coverage, nominating
athletes and teams for national awards, processing required conference and national office statistical reports.
• Assist AD with annual reports.
• Assist with the planning of the spring athletic awards program.
• Attend all department staff meetings.
• Attend AAB meetings.
• Attend NCAA convention.
• Assist the head coach (team TBD) in practice and game preparations.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

to record-keeping.

Minimum Qualifications:
• The candidate must be committed to the mission and purpose of Christian higher education and must express a
personal faith in Jesus Christ.
• Bachelors’ degree is required.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, work
independently, and stay focused during numerous interruptions by telephone or walk-in inquirers.
• Maintain a “can-do customer service” attitude in a very busy office environment.
• Ability to interact with other campus departments professionally, courteously, and cooperatively.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Access, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to accept sustained pressure at peak times.
• Ability to be a true, supportive team member.
• Willingness to arrange personal schedule to ensure punctuality, coverage at the peak times in the office and, as
much as possible, reserving vacation times when office or facility support is least needed.
• Ability to handle sensitive information/documents in a strictly confidential manner.
• Physical abilities of this position fall within the expected duties of an office environment, including able to lift up
to 30 pounds.
