SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement and oversee a strategic social media plan for all media streams.
Promote and enhance the visibility of the DBU Athletic Department through all social channels and to increase visibility of the program through all available means in today’s diverse media markets.
Create and execute all athletics media days, theme games, in-game music, and all in-venue video board content.
Create opportunities for video and photo stories to advance DBU Athletics and the student-athlete experience.
Execute marketing, planning and coordination of a strategic media posting schedule.
Partner with DBU Communications and contract labor staff to assist with execution of branding, marketing, and campaign materials.
Oversee and manage the staff that comprises the areas of creative video, photography, social media, graphic design and brand management.
In conjunction with the Senior Associate Director of Athletics, maintain and strengthen ties with DBU Athletics alumni throughout social media engagement and other creative media engagement.
Contribute to the overall vision and goals of DBU Athletics by shaping digital strategy, development and execution of storytelling, brand-building and fan-engagement content across the department’s social and digital channels
Support Athletics Operations to maintain and strengthen ties with on- and off-campus groups by coordinating promotions and information for NCAA sporting events.
Work with DBU Athletics corporate sponsorship partners and consultants to ensure corporate sponsor inventory and in-game promotion items are fulfilled.
In conjunction with the Associate Director of Athletics for Media Relations and the Associate Director of Athletics for Operations, produce, record, and prepare commercials (audio and video) to run on ESPN or the PBN.
Ensure student-athletes have access to content through Opendorse.
All other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
WORK SCHEDULE:
The Assistant Athletic Director for Creative Services and Digital Media will work 40 hours per week with variations to the normal working hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) with the need to work nights and weekends, as well as all home athletic contests and some off-campus athletics contests.
