The University of Missouri Athletics Department is seeking an Assistant Athletic Director – Landscape, Turf, and Grounds. Reporting to the Associate Athletics Director – Facilities and Events, this individual will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day maintenance and preparation for all Mizzou Athletics sports fields, grounds, and landscaping within the Mizzou Sports Park.

Duties will include:

• Taking a proactive approach to all aspects of turf and grounds maintenance;
• Developing and implementing plans for the successful maintenance of all athletics grounds and fields, including all competition fields;
• Maintaining and improving all landscaping, turf (both real and artificial), and associated flora and fauna in order to create, safe, effective and aesthetically pleasing venues;

Duties will include:

• Taking a proactive approach to all aspects of turf and grounds maintenance;
• Developing and implementing plans for the successful maintenance of all athletics grounds and fields, including all competition fields;
• Maintaining and improving all landscaping, turf (both real and artificial), and associated flora and fauna in order to create, safe, effective and aesthetically pleasing venues;
• Preparing facilities in accordance with all NCAA and SEC conference rules and regulations, establishing environmentally sound cultural practices that promote safe playing conditions;
• Managing budgets related to athletics fields and grounds;
• Overseeing large-scale facilities projects such as the replacement of competition turf fields;
• Purchasing, maintaining, and managing inventory of athletics field maintenance equipment and supplies;
• Maintaining relationships with coaching staffs and university officials regarding practice/game schedules, camp dates, and inclement weather situations and providing guidance to those individuals;
• Managing and coordinating a team of full and part-time employees;
• Other duties as assigned.
   

Salary

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Salary Range: $56,864 - $104,897
Grade: GGS-011

University Title: Superintendent

Shift

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; Nights, Weekends, as required. 
 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in grounds and turf management
