JOB DESCRIPTION

• FULL TIME

Provide unique and innovative visual content for ORU Athletics and each individual sports team through graphic design and video production. Create content for social media, website and videoboards to enhance the ORU brand through its digital presence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop inspiring and innovative visuals in collaboration with Athletic Communications to set direction on annual creative themes for each sport to carry across all departmental and multimedia assets
• Create print and digital promotional materials for athletic teams, including billboards, ticket wallpapers, schedule cards and posters
• Establish good relationships and work with key personnel in athletics (i.e. communications, marketing, development and tickets) to determine priorities for meeting departmental demand
• Create engaging content for fans to interact with that will boost followings on all social media platforms to meet KPI goals
• Help bring attention to individual sports and highlight student-athletes and coaches to provide a more engaging experience
• Knowledge about new trends and popular themes circulating through NCAA Division I athletic programs
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: bachelor’s degree required in graphic design or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

• Two years of related experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability working within an athletic department at the collegiate level with a focus on video and graphic elements from concept to creation.
• Excel in both online and print design
• Proficient in the use of Photoshop and Illustrator and the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite
• Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities with a sharp attention to detail
• Outstanding communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Ability to make independent decisions and judgements on administrative and procedural issues
• Ability to travel as well as night and weekend work
• Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor in a frequently fast-paced athletic environment
