Position Overview

Position Summary:

Under limited supervision of the Director of Athletics, the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance is responsible for the overall development, implementation, and review of the institution’s athletics compliance program. The Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance is also responsible for the daily operation of the compliance program including rules education, rules interpretation, and coordinating rules compliance efforts. The Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance heads up the Office of Athletic Compliance and any compliance office personnel designated to the Office of Athletics Compliance.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference and institutional regulations, policies and procedures
  • Support the Eligibility Officer/Assistant Registrar with student-athlete eligibility certification as assigned
  • Collaborate with Athletic Academic Advisor to monitor and support student-athlete academic eligibility
  • Assist Financial Aid Office in managing and monitoring student-athlete financial aid packages and limits in accordance with NCAA guidelines
  • Manage and oversee the athletics department’s use of web-based compliance software systems
  • Lead and coordinate special compliance-related projects, including NCAA rule education seminars, clinics, workshops
  • Monitor recruiting activities, including official and unofficial visits to ensure adherence to compliance regulations
