Under limited supervision of the Director of Athletics, the Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance is responsible for the overall development, implementation, and review of the institution’s athletics compliance program. The Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance is also responsible for the daily operation of the compliance program including rules education, rules interpretation, and coordinating rules compliance efforts. The Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance heads up the Office of Athletic Compliance and any compliance office personnel designated to the Office of Athletics Compliance.

Collaborate with Athletic Academic Advisor to monitor and support student-athlete academic eligibility
Assist Financial Aid Office in managing and monitoring student-athlete financial aid packages and limits in accordance with NCAA guidelines
Manage and oversee the athletics department’s use of web-based compliance software systems
Lead and coordinate special compliance-related projects, including NCAA rule education seminars, clinics, workshops
Monitor recruiting activities, including official and unofficial visits to ensure adherence to compliance regulations

Review and evaluate academic transcripts of prospective student-athletes for initial and transfer eligibility determination
Prepare and submit NCAA and conference waivers as required
Serve as a member on the Athletic Compliance Committee
Compile and submit compliance-related reports, such EADA, NCAA Financial Report, NCAA Sports Sponsorship and Demographics report, in collaboration with athletics and institutional budget staff Contribute to the development and maintenance of the athletics department’s comprehensive policies and procedures manual.
Effectively collaborate with other university departments to support the overall success of athletics compliance
Participate in sport program oversight opportunities and directed
Regular and predictable attendance is required
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Job Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally and effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude
Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work
Knowledge and ability to interpret and apply federal and state guidelines and regulations
Knowledge of computerized records management systems
Working Conditions
Physical Demand and Working Conditions:
Work is primarily conducted in a standard office environment
This position requires occasional evening and weekend hours, as well as attendance at team practices, games, and potential travel with athletic teams
Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a consistent amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
