ASSISTANT ATHLETIC DIRECTOR / TICKET OPERATIONS
This position is responsible for the overall management and operation of Ticket Central, which includes ticket operations and sales for athletics, performing arts, student life, AND other CMU and community events. Manages day-to-day operations including but not limited to analyzing data, strategic planning, communication with the university community and collaborating with other departments to provide ticketing needs.
Bachelor’s degree.
One year of experience in ticket sales/operations.
Demonstrated knowledge of and work experience with Microsoft Office software.
Successful organization and management of events.
Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills.
Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Experience working with Paciolan ticketing system
Directly related experience in a Division I Athletics Ticket Office.
Reporting to the Associate Athletic Director/Revenue Generation, manages the daily operations of Ticket Central including but not limited to ticket operations and sales for athletics, performing arts, student life, commencement and other CMU and community events.
Develops/maintains strong policies and procedures for ticket operations.
Provides leadership by researching, implementing and managing customer data protection including contact information, payment information, and student account information.
Oversees ticket operations budget development and management.
Creates KPIs and strategic plan for Ticket Central and the role it plays with the University community.
Responsible for building internal and external relationships to ensure highest level of satisfaction from Ticket Central partners and customers to generate revenue for the University and increase attendance.
Serves as campus liaison with ticket system provider Paciolan to make decisions on system upgrades and customer experience enhancements.
Responsible for formulating and achieving revenue goals for athletic ticket and parking sales.
Hires, trains, and supervises Ticket Central staff, and manages staffing levels according to need.
Ensures customer service satisfaction is achieved through product knowledge, research, leadership, and training.
Manages ticketing system and assists with the marketing outreach for campus partners.
Manages the renewal process for all sports including online renewal mailers, payment processing, bill plan processing, and ticket/parking distribution.
Collaborates with Chippewa Athletic Fund on reallocation of seating.
Maintains Paciolan E-venue website to include promotion of events and on-line orders, along with updating ticket and parking information pages for each ticketed sport page.
Analyzes data, prepares reports and completes audits.
Complies with conference, NCAA and University polices and procedures related to internal and external business processes.
Directs customer service initiatives as they relate to ticketing and fulfillment; season ticket renewals and mailings.
Collaborated with Chippewa Athletic Fund to execute priority seating and parking for athletic donors.
Works with compliance department and ARMS to oversee pass list protocol for home and away ticketed athletic events.
Tracks attendance figures and specific promotion to determine success of promotional and marketing strategies.
Responsible for benchmarking athletic ticket prices to make recommendations to Athletic Director and University President on a yearly basis.
Works with Chippewa Athletic Fund to coordinate combined donation and football and men’s and women’s basketball renewals annually.
Assists with technology set up for ticketed events.
Creates and executes operations calendar and timeline for Ticket Central.
Submits official attendance number for all home ticketed events.
Collaborates with other athletic department units on email marketing opportunities.
Collaborates with athletic marketing office to create ticket promotions and new revenue generating opportunities.
Oversee postseason (Mid-American Conference, NCAA, bowl game) ticket operations.
Compiles and disseminates weekly ticket office revenue report.
Other duties as assigned.
