Bachelor’s Degree: A Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, Kinesiology, or a related field is required.
Certification university : Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers is mandatory.
State Licensure: Must have state licensure or be eligible to obtain licensure in the state where the is located.
Practical Experience: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an athletic trainer, preferably in a collegiate or high school setting. Experience can include internships or clinical rotations completed during an accredited athletic training education program.
Rehabilitation and Treatment: Hands-on experience in developing and implementing rehabilitation and treatment plans for athletic injuries. Experience with various therapeutic modalities and manual therapy techniques.
Game and Practice Coverage: Ex perience providing on-site coverage for sports practices and competitions. Ability to manage acute injuries and provide emergency care during athletic events.
Documentation and Record-Keeping: Experience in maintaining accurate and detailed medical records and injury reports.
Statement of faith that includes a description of a relationship with Jesus Christ, participation in a local church, and a commitment to perform duties in a manner consistent with, and not contrary to, the University’s Statement of Faith which is the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
Advanced Degree, specialized certifications, technical skills (electronic medical record systems and other sports performance technology), evidence of ongoing professional development and continuing education in the field of athletic training.
