Illinois Wesleyan University, a NCAA Division III institution and member of the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin, invites applications for the full-time, 10-month position of Assistant Athletic Trainer. Will include travel, evening and weekend hours. Generous benefits include health, retirement and tuition assistance. PRN opportunities provided.

Responsibilities:

• Assistant Athletic Trainer, clinical role; coordinate injury prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation program for the student-athletes; document injury and treatment for the ATR, as well as, physician groups; provide assistance with insurance claims, as needed; perform rehab, injury prevention and coverage for assigned teams. Possible sport coverage for each open position includes 2 of the following; Assistant Football, Women’s Basketball, Women’s Soccer, Track & Field, Cheer & Dance, Flag Football.
• Administration ; assist in policy writing as requested by Head ATC/Healthcare Administrator; comply with documentation of student-athletes injuries and evaluation; communicate frequently with coaching staff to provide rehabilitation and timing of recovery while ensuring safety of student-athletes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree is required
• Minimum of one year experience at the collegiate level or previous work at similar institution
• ATC Certified; Licensure in Illinois
• CPR/AED Certified
• Valid driver’s license
• Evening and weekend hours required
