Brief Job Description
The Assistant Athletic Trainer is responsible for assisting the head trainer with all aspects of the athletic training program, which includes, but is not limited to: providing treatment and care of injuries to a diverse population of student-athletes; providing a comprehensive documented rehabilitation program for injured athletes; administer and manage all functions related to student-athlete insurance. This position will also assist with the supervision of student trainers and supervise selected rehabilitation hours. Will perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics that are consistent with the skills and abilities related to this position and that address the university’s strategic goals.
Required Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Athletic Training; NATA Certification; eligible for NYS license in Athletic Training; First Aid/CPR/AED for professional rescuer; strong computer and interpersonal skills.
