| Job Summary/Basic Function: |
The Assistant Athletic Trainer supports the health and wellness of student-athletes by assisting with the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Working under the supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer, this person will help coordinate day-to-day athletic training operations and ensure compliance with applicable policies and best practices in sports medicine.

| Job Requirements & Essential Functions of the Job: |
- Assist in providing athletic training services for intercollegiate sports programs, including practice, competition, and rehabilitation coverage.
- Evaluate and treat injuries, design rehabilitation programs, and monitor progress in collaboration with team physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including injury reports, treatment logs, and rehabilitation plans.
- Support the development and implementation of injury prevention programs and education for student-athletes.
- Assist in managing inventory and maintenance of athletic training supplies and equipment.
- Travel with teams to away competitions as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in continuing education to stay current with advances in athletic training and sports medicine.
- Help ensure compliance with NCAA or other governing bodies’ policies as applicable

| Required Qualifications: |
- Masters’ degree
- Ability to travel
- Ability to work nights and weekends

- Proven experience working as an athletic trainer at the NCAA level
