Assistant Baseball Coach

As our Assistant Baseball Coach, you will be responsible for assisting the head coach in managing the baseball program by providing ongoing assistance in recruitment, training, and leadership for student athletes while creating positive experiences for all individuals participating in the baseball program. You will be expected to act as a role model, exemplifying high standards of sportsmanship, conduct, and values in support of the mission and vision of the Institute.
This position will be heavily involved in recruitment efforts, including player evaluation and communication with prospective students from the identification stage through matriculation. You will be expected to attend recruiting events throughout the Midwest and nationally to identify potential recruiting targets. As our assistant baseball coach, you will establish practice and development plans for a segment of the roster while serving as that group’s lead instructor. You will analyze and review video and metrics to evaluate skills and communicate with athletes on plans for development. Additional responsibilities will include managing program equipment, assisting with travel logistics, and preparing opponent’s scouting reports.
Qualified candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree and one to two years’ experience playing or coaching at the collegiate or professional level, or an associate's degree and four to six years' experience playing or coaching at the collegiate or professional level.
Preferred candidates will have a master’s degree and college coaching experience.

Salary range is $34,500 - $46,500. Salary is competitive. A higher salary may be negotiated based on experience and qualifications.
