Position Summary: This position is responsible for assisting the Baseball program.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1. Assist in developing a recruitment strategy for prospective student athletes. Informing prospects of University academic programs, talent evaluation, coordinating mailings, telephone calls, and email exchanges. Maintain department and University standards for communication by actively monitoring on campus and off campus through in person contacts. Work effectively with the department of intercollegiate athletics and office of enrollment services to meet recruitment goals.
2. Assist with day to day duties: Assist in the planning, development, and direction of all team training and conditioning activities in the traditional segment at a level that will place program in a position of competitive leadership in the Northern Athletics Conference. Provide instruction in technique and safety procedures in adherence with NCAA regulations and Sports Performance expectations in the declared playing and practice seasons.
3. Manage the pitching staff: Meet and watch video with the pitchers on a daily basis. Provide open and honest feedback on performance. Understand Rapsodo and all of the latest tech.
4. Assist with fundraising duties such as our E-teams fundraiser and other fundraising opportunities.
5. Assist with all Home Football games, managing student workers who are ball runners or working the chains.
Other Functions:
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's Degree Preferred
Experience: Previous collegiate coaching preferred.
Specific Skills: Knowledge of NCAA Division III philosophy, recruitment, rules and regulations.
Specific Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications: Yes. Organizational skills, writing and typing skills, interpersonal skills, data entry and budget management skills and demonstrated supervisory skills. Valid Driver’s License required. CPR/AED/First Aid certification is required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to handle varying levels of stress while maintaining professional demeanor. Possible lifting, bending, walking, kneeling, stretching, and stooping. Frequent districtwide and statewide travel; frequent prolonged and irregular hours; outdoor exposure to sun/heat or cold weather.
Ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand. Understand the speech of another person.
See details of objects that are less than a few feet away or are more than a few feet away. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. General Customer service and office environment.

Travel (If applicable): Yes - Ability to travel with the team; for recruiting purposes and for professional development will be required.
Supervisory Responsibility (if applicable): Yes – Student Workers if needed
Working Conditions: Indoor and outdoor environment. Nights and weekends are required.
Training: As a University employee you are required to complete all University-specific and/or OSHA related training to fulfill your job duties. Specific training will be conducted online or in person. Employees must complete all trainings required by Benedictine University.
