| Primary Duties and
Responsibilities: |

Under general supervision, assists in coaching duties for the University’s NCAA Division 1 Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field programs. Assists the Director of Cross Country/Track & Field with all aspects of the program, including recruitment of athletes, training for competition, and multiple administrative duties to support overall program management.

• Assists Director of Track & Field/Cross Country in organizing, preparing, and conducting individual and team practices, training, and competition.
• Conducts recruitment of student-athletes in accordance with NCAA rules through scouting, attending athletic events/meets, and home visits.
• Oversees and coordinates one or more specified areas of a sporting discipline and/or components of a team, as appropriate to the sport being coached.
• Assists in the overall coordination of the program, including but not limited to: planning official/unofficial visits; coordinating team travel; managing team apparel orders; overseeing social media outlets; organizing special team events; coordinating team communication regarding practices, meetings, special events, etc.
• Represents the sports program to various institutional entities and externally to media, government agencies, students, parents, and the general public.
• Complies with all NCAA, Conference, University, and Department of Athletics policies.
