The Position:

Assistant Coach, Football

Job Summary:

Muhlenberg College, a Division III institution and a member of the Centennial Conference is seeking applications for a part-time Assistant Football Coach. Responsibilities include assisting the head coach in all phases of the football program within college, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations; including planning and implementing coaching strategies into daily practices and evaluating, identifying, and recruiting prospective student-athletes.

This part-time position includes College-provided housing and a meal-stipend of $800 per semester of “Berg Bucks” dining credit, for use at on-campus dining facilities while the College is in session. This position is budgeted for 600 hours per year. The successful candidate will also have the option to increase annual budgeted hours to 700 per year by providing part-time management and support of home athletic contests, the Life Sports Center, and the athletic equipment room.

Characteristic Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Under the general direction of the head coach, provide leadership and support to all facets of the program in advancing the mission of the College and Athletics department.

  • Support the head coach in administering a competitive NCAA Division III program in accordance with college, NCAA, and Centennial Conference policies.

  • Coach, motivate, counsel, and support student-athletes in realizing their potential for personal growth and development as student-athletes and members of the general college community.
