Description

Under the general direction of the Director of Track & Field and Cross Country, assist in all aspects of an NCAA Division III women’s Track and Field program including student-athlete recruitment, recruiting coordination, scheduling, team travel, scouting opponents, practice planning, equipment, marketing, and administration of the Track and Field program in full compliance with NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Directly responsible to the Director of Track & Field/Cross Country

Organizes and conducts practice sessions within NCAA regulations for throws student-athletes

Responsible for developing training rules and conduct of athletes

Develop a work schedule (office hours) that makes him/her able to maintain a consistent operation of the sport program and adheres to "coaching hours" guidelines

Recruits student athletes within the guidelines of the NCAA, the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS), and Piedmont University
