Job Description:
Job Summary
Assist the Head Coach with all aspects of leading competitive NCAA DIII Cross Country, Indoor Track and Outdoor Track programs for both men and women. This position requires a commitment towards the student athletes on preparation, academic achievement, and community involvement while adhering to NCAA DIII bylaws and Salisbury University Athletic standards.
Authority and Accountability
This position reports to the Head Coach of Cross Country and Track and Field and ultimately to the Director of Athletics.
Required/Minimum Qualifications
The items listed below are representative of the education, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics required for this position. Please include minimum level of education, degrees required (if any), relevant work experience, credentials, licenses, certifications, special skills, and physical requirements.
• A bachelor’s degree required.
•Experience with teaching skills related to all aspects of cross country/track and field
•Must possess excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Please list any desired education, knowledge, abilities, skills, or competencies. These are considered preferred qualities but are not required.
•First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred.
•Related experience working with college student athletes and a strong foundational knowledge of NCAA DIII cross country/track and field rules and regulations preferred.
•Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills preferred
Additional Job Information:
The position is a full-time, exempt state role with comprehensive benefits.
