Your Role on the Team

The Assistant Coach for Men’s Tennis reports directly to the Head Coach, supporting all facets of a high-performance collegiate men’s tennis program. The Assistant Coach contributes to the design and delivery of training sessions, player development plans, match preparation, competitive strategy, and scouting, while mentoring student athletes to promote academic achievement, personal growth, and athletic excellence. This role plays an active part in recruiting prospective student-athletes in alignment with institutional values, and fosters an inclusive, positive team culture that emphasizes integrity, accountability, and well-being.
In addition to on-court coaching, the Assistant Coach manages key operational responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach, including coordinating team travel and itineraries; ordering and maintaining equipment and apparel inventories; processing reimbursements and monitoring related budget items; scheduling facilities; scouting reports, and performance analytics; and maintaining accurate records and documentation. The position collaborates closely with athletic training, strength and conditioning, academic support, compliance, and communications staff; assists with camps and clinics, alumni and community engagement, and program outreach; upholds risk management and safety protocols; and ensures strict compliance with all NCAA, conference, and institutional rules, regulations, and policies.
