The Assistant Coach will be responsible for supporting in the organization and management of the Women’s Volleyball Program, while reporting directly to the Head Coach. Duties are primarily during the fall season with recruiting and training responsibilities during the off-season as directed by the Head Coach.
The Assistant Coach will fulfill all duties assigned by the Head Coach and Director of Athletics. These duties will range from training of student-athletes to recruitment of prospective student-athletes, to day-to-day management of the program.
-Assist with the coordination and administration of all aspects of the program as directed by the head coach.
-Assist with the recruitment of student-athletes who show potential as directed by the head coach.
-Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes.
-Encourage good sportsmanship.
-Demonstrate a commitment to the further development of the volleyball program.
-Attend all practices, team meetings, and matches unless otherwise agreed upon by the Head Coach.
-Perform all other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or Director of Athletics.
-Strong interpersonal communication

-Verbal communication skills in order to coach athletes, recruit and deal with all individuals connected to the program
-Basic computer and film skills
-Ability to effectively teach and coach students in both a team and individual setting
-Excellent communication skills
-Bachelor’s degree
-Previous volleyball coaching experience
-Working knowledge of the
NCAA
DIII
rules/regulations
-2+ years collegiate coaching experience
-Collegiate playing experience
-Current First Aid,
CPR
and
AED
certification. If they do not, they will be required to be certified by our athletic training staff.
