Midway University is actively seeking a part-time Assistant Coach to support our swimming program. This position is compensated with a stipend, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student athletes in and out of the pool.

Working closely with the Head Coach, the successful candidate(s) will play a pivotal role in working with student-athletes, providing skill instruction, offering academic support, and ensuring compliance.

Midway University is actively seeking a part-time Assistant Coach to support our swimming program. This position is compensated with a stipend, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student athletes in and out of the pool.

Working closely with the Head Coach, the successful candidate(s) will play a pivotal role in working with student-athletes, providing skill instruction, offering academic support, and ensuring compliance.

Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Adhere to University and NAIA policies and procedures.
• Assist the Head Coach and administration to ensure that all team members have completed all the required eligibility forms prior to participating.
• Coordinate and evaluate as-needed coaching/training sessions, ensuring that effective principles, techniques, strategies, and methods to achieve sport proficiency are happening; observe student-athletes during practice to determine opportunities for growth.
• Maintain confidentiality with office and team related issues.
• Assist in driving vans to and from meets.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior coaching experience at high school or collegiate level is highly desirable. Proven ability to coach and recruit skilled student athletes is preferred. This position will require a background and driving record check. Successful candidates will need to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
