Position Purpose: The Assistant Men’s & Women’s Tennis Coach supports the Head Men’s & Women’s Tennis Coach in all aspects of the college’s tennis program, including coaching, recruiting, player development, and program administration. Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

Coaching & Player Development

• Assist with planning and conducting practices, individual training sessions, and match preparation.

• Provide technical instruction, tactical guidance, and performance feedback to student-athletes.

• Support match-day coaching, including lineup decisions and match analysis.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

Coaching & Player Development

• Assist with planning and conducting practices, individual training sessions, and match preparation.

• Provide technical instruction, tactical guidance, and performance feedback to student-athletes.

• Support match-day coaching, including lineup decisions and match analysis.

• Promote physical conditioning, mental toughness, sportsmanship, and team culture .

Operations and Support

• Assist with organizing team meetings, community engagement, and fundraising activities.

• Represent the tennis program in a professional manner at competitions and campus events.

• Transport players to select practices and off-campus matches.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Men’s & Women’s Tennis Coach.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate should possess solid organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills, as well as technical skills and knowledge of the game of tennis. Applicants must also demonstrate a strong commitment to rules compliance of the NCAA, the Liberty League, and the institution.

Compensation:

The rate for this position is $17 per hour.  Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
