Missouri Baptist University is seeking to fill the position of Assistant Track & Field Coach with emphasis on the jumps or multi-events. This position will assist the Head Coach with all aspects of the Track & Field Program. Specific duties may include coaching all jumpers, recruiting, mentoring student-athletes, travel, meet preparation, fund-raising, running practice when head coach is not present and other duties assigned by the head coach. The candidate must adhere to all University mission and values.
Coaching and Training to include: Developing and implementing training programs; conducting practices and training sessions; analyzing athletes’ performances and providing feedback; developing game strategies and playbooks; monitoring the physical and mental condition of athletes.
Recruitment to include: scouting and evaluating potential student-athletes; communicating with high school coaches and athletes; organizing and conducting campus visits for recruits; coordinating recruiting trips and attending high school games and tournaments.
Mentorship and Student-Athlete Support to include: Providing academic support and ensuring athletes maintain eligibility; offering personal and career advise; supporting athletes’ overall well-being and development.
Bachelor’s degree. Two years of experience as a coach at the club, high school, or college level or a former student-athlete at the high school or college level.
