The Assistant Coach - Woman's Volleyball aids with coaching of the Women’s Volleyball team and all facets of the program, particularly in the areas of instruction and other facets of recruiting, training, scheduling and conditioning exercise.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assists the Head Coach in instruction and teaching of Volleyball
Works with the Head Coach with the organization, administration and implementation of the volleyball program.
Works with the Head Coach in recruiting student athletes.
Participates in organizing and supervising practices and games.
Over 25 percent travel time required to attend SCAC/SIVA and NCAA/NCVF meetings, conferences, and training seminars, as well as traveling to support team competitions and recruiting.
Must be accessible and reachable by telephone or text message at time other than College business hours for the purpose of team member contact and/or recruiting purposes.
Scouts upcoming opponents at the discretion of the Head Coach and within the College, NCAA/NCVF and the Conference (if applicable) guidelines.
Works with Head Coach to develop a game plan for upcoming opponents.
Assists the Head Coach with directing and coordinating activities, ensuring compliance with the NCAA/NCVF and Centenary College guidelines.
Works on approved fundraising activities under the coordination and direction of the Director of Athletics.
Other related projects, duties and responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary.

As an institutional staff member actively involved with NCAA Division III prospects, student- athletes, and athletic department personnel, you are responsible to uphold all conference and NCAA rules and regulations. In accordance with NCAA bylaw 11.1, you are responsible for reporting any known violations and will be held accountable for any violations committed within your department.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
MINIMUM
2 or more years as a competitive player or experience in men’s/women’s volleyball coaching at the college or junior college level.
Must have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Must be a people-oriented individual, have good communication skills, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people.
Well organized and self-motivated.
Must be able to fulfill job requirements in a high-energy, high-traffic area.
Must be able to obtain First Aid / CPR / AED certification and van driving clearance.
PREFERRED
Bachelor’s degree
5 years as a competitive player or experience in college women’s volleyball coaching at the assistant or head coaching level.
Specific experience with a campus admission/recruiting office, NCAA compliance, event management, outdoor field management, or coaching in another sport.
Experience in a NCAA Division III program.
Experience with a selective, residential, Liberal Arts college.
