Purpose of the Position:

The Assistant Coach of Women's Basketball will assist the Head Basketball Coach in team management and administration and to reinforce the athletics department and university goals.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Recruit and evaluate quality student-athletes

• Train and teach student-athletes both on and off of the court

• Help to Maintain compliance with NCAA departmental and University rules and regulations

• Assist in establishing game plans

• Scout opponents

• Coordinate Team Travel

Duties / Responsibilities

• Recruit and evaluate quality student-athletes

• Train and teach student-athletes both on and off of the court

• Help to Maintain compliance with NCAA departmental and University rules and regulations

• Assist in establishing game plans

• Scout opponents

• Coordinate Team Travel

• Maintain correspondence with recruits

• Assist with preparing the budget and program fundraising efforts

• Coordinate film exchange, game day management for home and visiting teams, and equipment purchase and maintenance

• Maintain positive public relationships with the university and the community

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Must have coaching experience

• Must possess excellent communication skills

• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a related field is preferred

• Knowledge of Sports Management is desired
