Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position

• no Minimum Education requirement.
• Collegiate coaching and/or playing experience in the sport of track & field.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Knowledge of the rules and strategies of track & field. This includes, but is not limited to, teaching techniques, coaching strategies and safety measures that are necessary for the UC Davis student-athlete to compete at the collegiate level. Skills to interact effectively and establish cooperative working relationships with UC Davis student-athletes, coaching colleagues, department staff and other persons from diverse backgrounds including parents, fans, boosters, members of the media and officials associated with the sport.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to learn the complex policies and procedures regarding academic eligibility of UC Davis student-athletes. These include UC Davis, Big West Conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Association policies and procedures.
