The Rivier University Athletics Department is now accepting applications for an Assistant Coach of Women's Soccer. The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting the development and management of individual and group strength training programs for student-athletes along-side a Head Coach. The Rivier University Raiders compete as Division III members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association and the Great Northeast Athletic Conference.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist with all aspects of coaching intercollegiate team as directed by the head coach, including recruiting qualified student-athletes.
Abides by and complies with National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Great Northeast Athletic Conference rules, academic standards, requirements, and policies of the University, and all guidelines and policies of the Athletics department and reports any concerns of compromise or violation of rules, standards, guidelines or policies to the Director of Athletics.
Contributes to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds.
Contributes to the overall success of the University's intercollegiate athletics program by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Typical Qualifications
Prior coaching and/or playing experience required.
Willingness to contribute as a team member to the athletic staff

Valid Driver’s License

High energy and motivation skills and creativity
Scope of the positions requires the ability to perform and/or demonstrate various physical strength exercises, and to assist others performing those exercises. Lifting objects over 50 lbs. is likely.
Supplemental Information
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a part-time position. Work hours will vary based on the times of each intercollegiate sport practices. The schedule will be agreed upon by the coach and Director of Athletics with input from athletic coaches.
Travel: The position will require travel for games, recruiting and maintenance of certifications.
About Rivier Women's Soccer: The 2023 Women's Soccer team got off to one of it's best starts in history, winning seven games in the month of September before earning a spot in the GNAC postseason for the first time since 2015. Producing a program-record eight shutouts in 2023, four student-athletes earned GNAC All-Conference or All-Sportsmanship Team placement and Head Coach Daniel Milton was voted as the league's Coach of the Year.
