Position Summary

WashU's Division of Student Affairs seeks a soccer coaching professional for the position of Assistant Coach, Women's Soccer. The Division of Student Affairs advances the educational mission of the university through resources and experiences outside the classroom that prepare our students for lifelong success.

Assists with the coaching, organization, administration and development of a successful college athletic program. Comply with all rules and regulations of the NCAA, the University Athletic Association, Washington University, as well as those of the respective team. This position works August - May.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the planning and implementation of details in all aspects of the assigned sport’s program, including team organization and make-up, player selection and evaluations, practice planning and implementation, and game planning and strategy. Represents the university at campus, alumni, and community functions.
  • Coaches/instructs team members individually, and in groups, and demonstrates sport-related skills and techniques. May coach/manage a designated skill development area or group of positions. Evaluates individual player's skill performance and provides instruction in areas of deficiency as required. Reviews video footage to evaluate skills and determines needed areas of development.
  • Supervises and organizes the assigned athletic program as determined by the Head Coach.
