Cairn University is seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Assistant Coach for Women’s Softball.

The Assistant Coach will assist the head coach with practice and game planning execution and will be required to attendpractices, meetings, games, and team events. Candidates should be able to understand and demonstrate tactical aspects of softball and be able to lead drills and training sessions with the head coach. This position also has responsibilities to assist in the recruiting process through email communication, phone calls, and attending tournaments of high school prospective student athletes. The Assistant Coach will also assist the head coach in all aspects of organizing and implementing fundraising events.

Compensation may be in the form of a salary, or by way of a graduate scholarship to pursue a master’s degree at Cairn University.

Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree required.
·Prior playing or coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred; successful high school or club coaching experience considered.
·Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
