Salary Range: $35,600 - $51,500
Position Summary:
Reporting to the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Fan Engagement, the Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in increasing awareness of and attendance at athletic events among the Temple student and employee populations. This role will support the development and execution of all department marketing initiatives. The Marketing Coordinator will also contribute to the creation and implementation of the marketing plan for Men’s Soccer, including writing game scripts and working with the coaching staff, video/graphics team, and others. The Marketing Coordinator will perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field. At least two years of directly related full-time experience in sports marketing. Demonstrated experience in marketing with a focus on sports, athletes, and consumers. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred:
Master’s Degree
Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop software
Required Skills & Abilities:
Ability to identify a wide variety of sports trends and scenes on the regional and national levels.
Commitment to a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, particularly as pertains to hiring.
Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
Ability to understand and uphold the mission and goals of the athletic department.
Ability to manage multiple collaborative projects and systems in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to set priorities, coordinate multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision.
Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects with competing deadlines.
Experience working with diverse populations.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and efficiently.
Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Strong integrity and character who shares a commitment for knowing and complying with NCAA, Conference and
University rules.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
