Description of Work
Serve as an academic counselor for a select group of sports. Provide student-athletes with academic counseling, registration assistance, and career guidance while building academic, organizational, and personal behaviors that support academic success. Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes to ensure compliance with University of Nebraska, Big Ten Conference, and NCAA rules leading to college graduation. Meet with prospective student-athletes during on-campus recruiting visits. Manage, assist, and oversee academic support program components, duties, and events as assigned by the Deputy AD for Student Services. Position requires working some evenings and weekends.

Minimum Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree plus two years related experience in an educational setting.
- Evidence of effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Evidence of organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred
- Experience working with student-athletes in a college academic setting.
- General working knowledge of institutional, conference, and NCAA rules.
