| Job Description Summary |
Eastern Oregon University (EOU) is accepting applications for the Assistant Director of Athletics for Marketing and Communications. This full-time, 12-month position is part of the Athletics Department.

The Assistant Director of Athletics for Marketing and Communications oversees the department’s external operations, leading efforts in sports information, marketing, promotions, communications, fundraising, sponsorships, and equipment management. This role also manages all home athletic events and Mountaineer Athletic Association (MAA) events and operations.
Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Assistant Director supports the department’s mission, goals, and objectives while assisting in the administration of EOU’s NAIA intercollegiate athletics division, which includes 15 varsity sports and recreation programs.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Administration, Business, Communications or a closely related field.
- Three to five years of fundraising experience and/or marketing and sales of athletic programs. Experience and understanding of fundraising, community involvement, and public relations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, a commitment to gender equity and diversity, and background in working with collegiate student-athletes, coaches, and athletic partners
- First Aid/CPR Certified or capable of becoming certified within 30 days of hire.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
