The Assistant Director of Live Events is responsible for advancing the mission and values of the LSU Athletics Department by delivering the LSU Tigers brand through entertaining, inspiring and informative programming.

50% Serve in multiple roles for video board projects and live events; Develop workflows for efficiencies and the automation of tasks related to all venue displays; Responsible for all upgrades and maintenance checks on all Daktronics systems and related control room equipment; Obtain a working knowledge of control room equipment.

35%  Work closely with Marketing, South Stadium Productions and Sports Properties staff to ensure all video board content is properly displayed; Research and generate innovative concepts to enhance in-venue entertainment.

10% Support SEC Network/ESPN productions and other broadcast productions related to LSU Network Operations.

5%    Advances and supports LSU and Athletics Department diversity and inclusion initiatives through personal participation in educational and developmental opportunities, as well as participation in the creation of an inclusive culture consistent with the values of LSU and its Athletics Department; Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree with two years experience in a broadcast production setting;

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Daktronics systems and control equipment; Experience directing live game productions; knowledge of Daktronics video LED systems including Display Studio, Venus 7000 Sequence Designer and Creator Studio in order to build button scripts and create video board elements; Knowledge of control room equipment including Click Effects Crossfire media server, Ross XPression and Abekas Mira Replay System; Experience in editing and production of highlight/hype videos.

Special or Physical Qualifications:

Ability to work extended days, weekends and holidays; Ability to perform tasks under tight deadlines, work independently and prioritize simultaneous projects; Ability to communicate and interact effectively, respectfully and appropriately with diverse populations in the Department, the University and community.
