Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Support Services

Job Description:

The Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Support Services will report directly to the Director of Student-Athlete Advising in the Center for Student Success. This position will assist with the following responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitoring and supervising academic progress of assigned student-athletes through one-on-one meetings, coordination of support services and academic evaluations to professors.
• Connecting student-athletes with support systems by partnering with departments on main campus (i.e., tutoring, learning services, counseling, study hall, Center for Student Success, etc.)
• Event Planning for Student-Athlete initiatives related to SAAC
• Co-advise SAAC (Student Athlete Advisory Committee) and attend meetings regularly
• Assist with the collection, validation and submission of data required for the NCAA APR and GSR academic reports as well as recertification of academic eligibility each semester as directed by the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance, the Director for Student-Athlete Advising, and the Deputy Athletic Director.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director for Student-Athlete Advising and Associate Provost for Academic Affairs.

Job Requirements: Education, Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 1-2 Years of Experience Preferred in Higher Education or College Athletics
• Ability to finish tasks in a timely manner and work independently
• Must be a Team Player
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations​
