About the Position:

This role is an on-campus, in-person position.

In collaboration with the Assistant AD for Ticket Operations the Assistant Director of Ticket Operations will assist with the management of the Ticket Office and the ticketed SMU Sports.

The position will also assist with events that SMU hosts such as ticketed facility rentals, NCAA Tournaments, NIT games, Conference Championships, etc. 

This role will serve as the primary ticket manager for women's basketball and volleyball and assist with football operations.

The position will collaborate with Ticket Sales and Marketing to ensure a highly executed departmental strategy for Ticket Operations. 

Essential Functions:

• Lead ticket operations for women's basketball and volleyball, assist with Football and other SMU hosted events. 
   

• Assist with financial reconciliation, deposits, and transactions.
   

• Assist with obtaining Mustang Club donations with the highest level of customer service.
   

• Collaborate with Ticket Sales and Marketing to execute an effective departmental strategy for Ticket Operations.
   

• Assist with overseeing the student worker program.
   

• Position requires regular evening or weekend work during football, volleyball and men's/women's basketball season

 

Qualifications

 

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree is required. 

A minimum of one year of work experience in a ticket office is required. Experience with financial reconciliation is also required. Experience in collegiate athletics preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate broadly across the University and develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of constituencies. Must also demonstrate strong written communication skills. A strong customer service orientation is essential.

Candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems, as well as devise solutions. Must also have strong organizational, planning and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently. A strong focus on attention to detail is essential.

Candidate must have a strong working knowledge of MS Office. A working knowledge of the Paciolan Ticketing System preferred.

• Carry/lift 25-50 lbs.
• Walk for long distances
• Reach above shoulders
