Position Summary
St. Anthony Catholic High School, a private, college preparatory High school for young men and women, is seeking an Assistant Football Coach . This is a seasonal part-time position. Position is expected to coach sports within the mission of St. Anthony Catholic High School and our Core Values of Honesty & Integrity; Community; Service & Social Justice; Scholarship; and Holistic Education. The Assistant Football Coach reports to the Athletic Director.

Job Duties

| Description of Job Duties |
- Assist the Head FB Coach with instructing players in the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of football.
- Assist the Head Coach in game planning for opponents.
- Organize and direct individual and small group practice activities and teach fundamentals necessary for the FB position coached.
- Assess players’ skills, monitor players during competition and practice, and keep the Head Coach informed of the athletic performance of athletes.
- Assist the Head Coach with supervising athletes during practices and competition;
- Follow established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury.
- Model sports-like behavior and maintain appropriate conduct and language towards players, officials, and spectators.
- Participate in special activities to include parent’s night, banquets, awards night and pep rallies.
- Work with the head coach regarding eligibility, inventory, and other related paperwork.
- Attend staff meetings, clinics, and other professional activities to improve coaching performance.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Principal, Athletic Director, and Head Coach.

Qualifications
| Knowledge Skills and Abilities |
- Extensive knowledge of football positions.
- Knowledge of HUDL and film breakdown.
- Possess effective coaching techniques and skills.
- Thorough knowledge of the rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of football.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents and students.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.

| Required Education |
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
|
| Required Work Experience |
Two (2) years experience as a high school or middle school football coach. Experience as a collegiate football player will substitute for coaching experience on a year for year basis.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Bachelor Degree or higher.
- High school varsity playing experience.
- Experience serving as a strong role model for students.
- Knowledge of SACHS and 5 Core Values.

- CPR Certified.
- Concussion Risk Certification.
- Must have a valid drivers license, driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier, and be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW.
