Compensation:   Hiring Range:  $43,492 - $52,190 - depending on experience

Position Details:     Mayville State University is searching for an Assistant Football Coach/HPER Instructor. The assistant coach is responsible for assisting the head coach in all aspects related to running a successful NAIA collegiate athletic program, including but not limited to, recruiting, coaching, mentoring and retaining student-athletes; fundraising and other departmental duties; fostering strong alumni relations and meeting all institutional, and NAIA rules and regulations. Work within the HPER Division and support the University, as a team member by collaborating with faculty, staff and students on committees, program planning, assessment, academic advising, and other needs as they become known.

Required Competencies:

• Ability to effectively recruit and retain high quality student-athletes
• Highly effective communication and public speaking/presentation skills
• Effective planning, organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in HPER or related field
• Successful playing and/or coaching at the collegiate or high school level
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and fulfill travel requirements
• A valid Driver's License is required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two plus years coaching collegiately
• Previous teaching experience
