Position Information:  

Mayville State University is seeking individuals to join our campus community as Assistant Football Coach – Offensive Coordinator/Equipment Coordinator.  We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills, deep knowledge, and experience of offensive football preferably at the college level, and someone who is committed to developing athletes on and off the field and complying with NCAA and University rules and regulations. Travel, weekends and overnight stays are a regular part of the position.  This position will report to the Head Football Coach and be ultimately responsible for implementing systems, assist with practices and scouting for the right players that will help make Mayville State University Football dominate in the division.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Assistant Football Coach:

• Coach a position on offense
• The ability to run position meetings along with full offensive install
• Handle a full offensive staff
• Be able to recruit and retain student athletes
• Weekly grade checks
• Build an offensive culture
• Tasks as assigned by the head coach

Equipment Coordinator:

• Washing practice gear
• Washing game gear
• Organizing a staff of 8 work study students
• Helping place orders with our vendors
• Working directly with head coach on what is needed
• Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree 
• 2 years of college or high school experience
• Highly effective communication and public speaking/presentation skills
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and fulfill travel requirements
• A valid Driver's License is required

Key Competencies:

• Familiarity with Mayville State University and its target markets
• Effective planning, organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft teams and Hudl
• Ability to effectively recruit and retain high quality student-athletes
