| Job Description Summary |
Eastern Oregon University (EOU) invites applications for the position of Assistant Football Coach – Offensive Line / Equipment Manager. This role supports the Head Football Coach in all aspects of a competitive NAIA intercollegiate football program. The position is responsible for coaching the offensive line, assisting with recruiting and retention of student-athletes, coordinating equipment operations, and contributing to the academic, athletic, and personal development of student-athletes.
This role plays a critical part in advancing the Athletics Department’s mission of promoting academic excellence, athletic success, and community engagement while fostering a culture of integrity, inclusion, and student-centered development.

| Responsibilities |
- Coach the offensive line, including planning and conducting practices, game preparation, and in-game coaching.
- Develop and implement offensive strategies and conduct film analysis.
- Evaluate student-athlete performance and support skill development.
- Identify, evaluate, and recruit prospective student-athletes in compliance with NAIA and university regulations.
- Build and maintain relationships with high schools, junior colleges, and recruiting networks.
- Assist in scholarship allocation and recruiting operations.
- Assist in coordinating and managing football equipment, including purchasing, inventory, maintenance, and compliance with departmental policies.
- Monitor condition, repair, and replacement of equipment.
- Support academic progress, eligibility, and graduation of student-athletes.
- Promote academic excellence, including team GPA goals and academic honors.
- Mentor student-athletes and connect them with campus resources.
- Assist with organizing practices, competitions, travel, and team logistics.
- Support budget monitoring, scheduling, and administrative paperwork.
- Coordinate video systems and game-day operations.
- Ensure compliance with NAIA, Cascade Conference, and university policies.
- Implement and support the NAIA Champions of Character program.
- Promote diversity, inclusion, sportsmanship, and ethical conduct.
- Participate in fundraising initiatives, camps, and clinics.
- Engage with alumni, boosters, and community stakeholders.
- Represent the university in public relations and outreach activities.
- Travel regularly and work evenings and weekends.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach.

- Master’s degree in Exercise Science, Athletic Administration, Business, Communications, Liberal Studies, or a related field.
- Experience within the Frontier Conference.
- Knowledge of institutional rules and regulations.
