Glenville State University, member of the NCAA Division II Mountain East Conference is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Assistant Football Coach for Running Backs.

Examples of Duties

• The organization and execution of practice planning and team strategies.
• Instructing student-athletes in sports performance and related health and fitness.
• Recruitment of qualified student-athletes at a high level.
• Academic success of student-athletes and monitoring and fostering a positive academic environment.
• Development of a strong relationship with the coaching staff, Athletic Department, campus, and the local community.
• NCAA compliance.
• Execution of recruit tours in Athletic facilities.
• Organization and cleanliness of locker and meeting rooms.
• Execution of offensive video breakdown.
• Recruitment and overseeing laundry managers.
• Game Day and event planning.

• Assisting in the program’s fundraising efforts and community service activities.

Typical Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Background in football coaching/playing and operations
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to function in a service- and team-oriented environment
• Basic computer and word processing skills and proficiency in Microsoft 365
• Excellent leadership skills
