Assistant Football Coach - Running Backs and Game Ops for athletic program

Lyon College invites applications for an assistant coach position in its football program with a start date of immediately. The primary responsibilities include the following: running backs coach and game ops for athletics programs. This position will assist in recruiting, practice/game day preparation, and monitoring athlete’s academic progress. This position will understand the rules/policies of NCAA DIII, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, and Lyon College. Additional responsibilities include teaching a limited number of physical education courses and other duties as assigned. Applicants with coaching experience at the secondary or post-secondary level are preferred and an understanding of recruiting student athletes at a small, liberal arts college. A bachelor’s degree is required with a preference for a master’s degree.

Lyon College is located in Batesville, Arkansas, a safe and historic town of 10,000 that serves as commercial, medical, social, and governmental hub for an eight-county area and named by USA Today as the best city in which to live in Arkansas. The College currently enrolls almost 700 undergraduate students from 24 states and 16 foreign countries. Entering freshmen have an average high school GPA of 3.6 and an average ACT composite of 24 and SAT score of 1117.
