Job Description:
Marietta College seeks a full-time offensive skills assistant football coach and instructor to work with wide receivers. The position is designed to provide future head coaches with a rich blend of coaching and administrative experience at a competitive NCAA, Division III private college. This 10-month, administrative, full-time position includes the following:
Job Duties
Teach proper wide receiver techniques in concert with the expectations of the Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator and assess skill development.
Coordination of all coaching assignments for the offensive staff including film breakdown, on field, and all administrative responsibilities.
Instruct concepts of overall physical health and safety for both individuals and the team.
Supervision of all offensive student-athletes and managers within a program of practices and competition that shows concern for the players' health and welfare, physical and psychological preparation.
Educate students on NCAA Division III rules and Marietta College Athletics Department Learning Outcomes
Foster and assist with positive student-faculty communication
Monitor position group's academic progress in consultation with the Academic Resource Center and the team's academic coordinator
Recruit future student athletes, with metrics provided by the Head Coach, who understand and are prepared for the demands presented by small, private-college, non-scholarship athletic programs
Contribute to scouting and game planning
Promote games to the local community in coordination with Sports Information and Student Development Offices
Create high light videos
Manage social media accounts
Teach a lifetime skill class in the Physical Education department
Other duties as assigned for administration of the athletic department may include, but not be limited to: game day administration, facility supervision, intramural planning and supervision, sports information assistance, or other.

Foster a cooperative work environment and provide mutual support with all constituencies and colleagues.
Represent the program and Marietta College with sportsmanship, integrity, and a high degree of professionalism.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required and previous college playing and coaching experience preferred
Exceptional understanding of offensive football with strong knowledge of the technical aspects of every offensive position
Interpersonal communication skills necessary to successfully teach and motivate student athletes and work effectively with various constituents on and off campus.
Knowledge of NCAA, OAC and Marietta College rules and guidelines
Knowledge of recruiting software, scouting software and Microsoft Office products.
Strength and Conditioning Certification encouraged
Must possess a strong commitment to diversity and inclusiveness
Current valid driver's license and successful completion of a background check.
Flexibility to work nights and weekends
Must be able to travel, and possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable by Marietta's insurance carrier
Must successfully complete a background check
