Wabash College, a NCAA Division III institution and member of the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC), seeks a passionate and dedicated Full-Time Assistant Football Coach to join our athletic staff. The Wide Receivers Assistant Football Coach is responsible for coaching and developing the wide receiver unit for the Wabash College football program. This position includes technical instruction, practice planning for the position group, recruiting qualified student-athletes, and contributing to offensive game planning and strategy. The Wide Receivers Coach works collaboratively with the Head Football Coach, Offensive Coordinator, and staff to support competitive excellence while promoting the academic success, well-being, and personal development of student-athletes.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Coach and develop the wide receiver unit, including instruction in route running, releases, blocking techniques, ball skills, football IQ, and overall position fundamentals.
Plan and conduct position-specific drills and meetings to support daily practice objectives and game preparation.
Assist the Offensive Coordinator in game planning, opponent scouting, film breakdown, and play installation.
Evaluate wide receiver performance through film analysis and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
Recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes who align with the mission, values, and standards of Wabash College.
Build and maintain relationships with high school coaches, prospects, and families throughout the recruiting process.
Collaborate with the offensive staff to ensure cohesive offensive execution and alignment with overall team philosophy.
Promote and ensure a commitment to student-athlete health, safety, academic success, and overall well-being.
Support administrative responsibilities such as recruiting coordination, travel planning, equipment needs, and scheduling as assigned.
Uphold and enforce institutional, conference, and NCAA Division III rules, regulations, and policies.
Serve as a mentor and role model, fostering leadership, discipline, accountability, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

Qualifications
Required:
Comprehensive knowledge of wide receiver techniques, offensive football systems, and game strategy.
Demonstrated experience coaching or playing the wide receiver position.
Strong commitment to the academic success and holistic development of student-athletes.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and use of administrative systems required.
Ability to collaborate with the college community, including senior management, faculty and staff members, students, volunteers, and third-party business partners and vendors.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree.
Experience coaching at the collegiate level, preferably NCAA Division III.
Demonstrated success in developing wide receivers and contributing to offensive production.
Familiarity with NCAA rules and regulations and Division III recruiting practices and compliance standards.
Prior experience recruiting student-athletes at the collegiate level.
