Assistant coach of NCAA Division III Baseball program, including an understanding and adherence to NCAA Division III principles and Endicott College’s mission statement.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively recruit high school, travel, legion, and showcase events both in New England and out of region.
• Effectively communicate with prospective student athletes and their families throughout the recruiting process.
• Meet with and tour prospective student-athletes and their families on campus.
• Assist the Office of Admission with recruiting a goal of 8-12 student athletes each year.

• Possess knowledge of and abide by NCAA and Commonwealth Coast Conference rules and regulations. 

• Assist in organizing and planning practices and game strategies along with assisting in scouting and in-season film evaluations and breakdown. 

• Retention of quality student athletes. Creating a positive and productive environment for the Student-Athletes.

• Help students utilize resources on campus. For both academic success and overall health.

• Assist in planning development and direction of fundraising for the program, coordinating public relations and alumni support for the enhancement of the baseball program. 

• Assist in operating and executing baseball clinics on Endicott’s campus.

• Assist in planning team travel and in season logistics. 

• Assist with Contest Management, attend weekly meetings and help with 4 field hockey contests in the fall.

• Assist with Endicott Hosted NCAA events in the fall.

• Attend department meetings.

• Assist with brain storming future facility needs and programs to continue to enhance Endicott students’ experience. 
   

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Bachelor's Degree required, Master’s degree preferred. 
•  3-5 years successful experience coaching and recruiting at the high school and/or college level. 
• The ability to work effectively with diverse groups and environments. 
• Effective communication, interpersonal and public relations skills. 
• Current adult CPR/AED certification; 
• Strong written, oral and organizational and problem-solving skills 
• Working knowledge of computer software applications 
• Strong leadership skills 
• Ability to work as part of a team
