Albion College invites applications for the Assistant Head Coach for Men’s & Women’s Wrestling Position. This positions responsibilities encompass assisting the Head Men’s & Women’s Wrestling Coach in all aspects of coaching Albion College’s varsity men’s and women’s wrestling team. This includes (but not limited to) scheduling, conditioning, technique training and mental preparation. The Assistant Head Coach will serve as the Head Coach of the Men’s and Women’s Wrestling team in the absence of the Head Coach. In addition, the position also works closely with Admissions and the Head Men’s and Women’s Wrestling Coach in the recruitment of men’s and women’s wrestlers. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload with sensitivity and confidentiality. This position will actively promote diversity, belonging and equity through critical and compassionate communication and strategic outreach efforts to various students, faculty and staff (e.g., historically under-represented, first-generation, undocumented and DACA students, LGBTQ students).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
• 1 to 3 years of experience in collegiate coaching or 4 to 5 years of combined experience as a collegiate athlete and competitive coach.
