SUMMARY:
The Assistant Swim Coach will assist the Head Swim Coach in Training, Recruitment, Supervision, and Discipline of the Men’s and Women’s intercollegiate Swim Program at Campbellsville University. This position is full-time, with benefits and a competitive salary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Must have outstanding leadership skills and be a highly motivated self-starter.
Must be collaborative and have a team-minded attitude.
Must demonstrate strong character values.
A minimum of one year of collegiate coaching experience or a minimum of 3 years of collegiate swim experience, including attendance at NAIA, NJCAA, or NCAA national championshi,p preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES:
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate with the Head Coach on all recruiting needs and actively recruit new student-athletes to the university.
Coordinate with the Head Coach on all training plans and practices in and out of season, and competition strategies.
Provide academic support, including but not limited to grade reviews and study sessions, to encourage and enable student-athletes to succeed in the classroom. Assistant coach will also coordinate with Head Coach to identify and assist at-risk athletes on the swim team.
Maintain all pool chemicals and documentation for Heath Department Checks, do weekly backwashing of filters, monitor pool water levels and make necessary adjustment, vacuum pool weekly or more during summer camps, monitor pool water temperature and adjust as needed.
Manage Lifeguard roster and schedules, including in-service trainings.
Perform duties as requested by Head Coach.
