Position Summary

Gettysburg College is seeking an Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach with an OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR background to work in the Athletics Department. The position will be responsible for assisting the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach in the areas of coaching, recruiting, academic oversight, practice planning, game planning, field maintenance, equipment organization, alumni engagement, as well as video and computer technology. The position will also serve as the team’s Strength and Conditioning coach and could be assigned additional administrative duties by the Executive Director of Athletics as needed. The College seeks candidates who have the communication skills and cross -cultural ability to maximize their effective with diverse groups of students, colleagues, and community members.

The assistant men’s lacrosse coach is a twelve (12) month, full-time, administrative appointment reporting to the Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach. Salary is commensurate with experience and complemented by an excellent benefits package.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

• earned a bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree is preferred
• one to three years of successful collegiate coaching experience
• proven abilities in organizational and instructional aspects of coordinating an offensive system
• demonstrated ability to recruit and retain student-athletes in the environment of an academic demanding liberal arts institution, with ability to abide by all NCAA Division III, Centennial Conference and institutional policies
• proficiency with technology applications applicable to the position
• ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and safe driving record in accordance with all institutional policies
