Position Summary:
The Assistant Women’s Softball Coach will be responsible for assisting the head coach in the coaching, scheduling, travel, and recruiting duties for the RSU Softball team.

Primary Duties:

• Ability to assist in planning, organizing and implementing all practice schedules and game strategies;
• Ability to successfully recruit highly competitive student athletes.

Secondary Duties:

• Track student athlete academic progress, including but not limited to supervising study halls, arrangement of travel schedules/meals, and setting up practice times for road trips.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with experience in coaching the game of softball.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Collegiate coaching experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

• A demonstrated knowledge of the day to day operations of an athletic department;
• A proven record in following directives and being responsible for tasks which have been assigned.
