POSITION SUMMARY:
The applicant’s primary responsibility will be to assist the head coach with the intercollegiate spirit squad program including but not limited to fundraising, organizing camps, developing practice schedules, building community support for the program, monitoring academic progress of student-athletes, coaching, and knowledgeable of applicable rules.

This position reports to the Head Spirit Squad Coach and has no direct reports.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree required with collegiate level playing and/or coaching experience.
• Recruiting ability and demonstrated commitment or experience working with diverse populations.
• Must be willing to actively participate in practices and must be able to work weekends/evenings and travel.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and oral skills, knowledge of the sport
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Knowledge of NCAA Division III and MIAA compliance and conference rules, and an understanding of the NCAA Division III student athlete philosophy.
• Experience working with underrepresented, first-generation, Pell-eligible, and diverse populations.
