Position Summary

Functions of the role include:
Assist the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach with the implementation of strength and conditioning programs for 30 varsity sports, all day-to-day operations, data analysis, injury prevention & modifications, and assisting with the Strength and Conditioning Internship Program.
Communicate with Sports Medicine staff & Coaches staffs regularly, in addition to Administrators & Support staff.
Adhere to all NCAA and Conference affiliated bylaws set forth by the governing bodies.
Supervise and assist in general maintenance and cleaning of the facility. This includes, but is not limited to, oversight of all training equipment needs, preventative maintenance, repairs, and ordering of all facility cleaning equipment and supplies.
Ensure the facility is in proper order when opening, throughout the day, and closing.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge on current strength and conditioning research.
The scope of the position may require weekends, evenings, and/or early mornings.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred area of expertise: Exercise Science or CSCS
1-3 years of experience
Must hold and maintain a current strength and conditioning certification recognized by the NCAA (NSCA-CSCS or CSCCa-SCCC).
Ability to communicate effectively with student-athletes, sports medicine, coaches, and other constituents.
Ability to teach, train, and develop student-athletes to optimally perform the physical requirements necessary for success in competition
